Taster Course and Bench Test
All applicants to the Independent Watchmaker Course must first complete a three-day Taster Course and Bench Test held at the Finnish School of Watchmaking in Espoo. This hands-on experience introduces candidates to the school’s teaching methods, facilities, and the essential skills required in watchmaking. The bench test evaluates motivation, coordination, and learning potential, with top-performing candidates offered a place in the upcoming class.
The first Taster Course and Bench Test was held in June. We will announce the next Taster Course and Bench Test dates on this page when we have them scheduled.
The participation fee is €480, which includes instruction, materials, lunch, and coffee/tea for all three days.
