Project Summary
Objectives
The objective of this project is to begin an international collaboration between the two VETs of watchmaking, create a
comparison of the curricula and pedagogical methods, and setting a ground for the collaboration with VET institute around Europe, strengthening the network of schools and the continuity of watchmaking in Europe even recognized in the UNESCO’s Cultural Heritage of Humanity list.
Activities
Activities of this project consist of close and systematic collaboration in the form of face-to-face meetings and online
meetings. The curricula and pedagogical methods of both VETs are compared to create a current state analysis to be an informed base for broader collaboration between
all watchmaking schools in Europe. As a dissemination activity the results are shared to the whole network of
watchmaking schools and social media.
Impact
As a result of this project the collaboration of the two project partners has a solid foundation and all European schools of watchmaking are better equiped to collaborate to meet the competence needs of the industry. The teachers in all
organizations have learned about the partner’s way of delivering the teaching in watchmaking and found various
points for future collaboration in the areas of mobility and development projects.
